I am John, I just found this forum. I am from New England and I grew up in the early 60's with SCUBA and got certified in 1976. After a 30+year break I started diving again, and I decided I liked my old double hose better than I like my single hose regulators. I have a DA Aquamaster with the phoenix first stage (allows 3 HP & 3 LP ports) and a Voit Trieste Swim master (with HP and LP ports). I like the old and the new, I think computers, SPG's and BC's add a lot to the safety of the sport especially on repetitive dives, but its nice to have been brought up as a diver where those things did not exist. I like my DA Aquamaster for lobstering, photography and the looks I get from dive guides when I go to the Caribbean.

Ahoy John: welcome! I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love anything Healthways... and have too many interests to name, not just scuba: JB

Welcome aboard!!! I got open water certified fairly recently with modern gear of course and have since decided that I enjoy diving the more vintage kit better. The less stuff I have to dive with the better for me. Another Healthways devotee here as well, as Jay Bird has passed on his addiction to me and several others on here! Mark

Welcome John! I also have a DA with a Phoenix installed, and that’s been a great introductory reg for me. My collection has grown a bit since hanging around here, so if you don’t want to catch the reg buying bug, you better leave now!
