I am doing some research on the Royal Aqua-Masters, and I'm trying to find out what serial number they started and ended with. The earliest Royal Master that I have is #1069, and the latest number I have is #1585. The earliest Royal Aqua-Master (rectangular label) is #4181, and the latest is #15652. The earliest Royal Aqua-Master (round label) is #125284, and the latest is #729887. If anybody has any Royals outside of the these serial numbers (higher or lower), please let me know. Also, if you have any Royals with documentation (receipts, sales slips, etc.) or ones that you know exactly what year they were purchased, that would help me as well. Thanks!
Also, I am having the round label Aqua-Master and Royal Aqua-Master regulator decals reproduced, and they should be available within a couple of weeks. They look exactly like the originals and will really enhance a regulator with a worn label. Dan

Dan, I have a round label Royal Aquamaster, with a serial number a bit out of the range listed. SN# 109321 I bought this one on E-bay from a former dive instructor. Beautiful, with ring clamp, almost mint. My second is right in the range SN# 392291

The Royal Aqua-Master with the round label you just refurbished for me was purchased in late 1970 from Berry Distributors in Chicago. The serial # is 124461.

I also have a brand new, never wet, US Divers Royal Aqua-Master, a 1973 or 1974 model, serial #747383. It has the new high pressure yoke and incorporates the box ring instead of the clips.
On this more recent model, their last, US Divers went to a decal (Aqua-Lung, Royal Aqua-Master) on the front side of the box. They had been using a disk that had those words painted.
Any idea what this regulator is worth in the unused condition? Not interested in selling, just curious. I am sure it was one of the last double hoses that US Divers manufactured.

I have a Royal Aqua Master which was purchased by my father in 1967 from Jack The Frogman Dive Shop in St Paul Minnesota. It is a square label in very mint condition which has never seen salt water. It has spent many years in the origional box which has a price of $72.90 on top. The serial number is within your range at #7290 so no help there. I haven't looked closely at it in a few years now and I notice that on inspection that the hoses are becoming very brittle and "crunch" when squeezing them. The sound is of course cracking of the old hoses and small black bits of rubber fall off. Are replacements available? The rubber mouthpiece is in good condition. I'm sure a rebuild of the stages is in order as well. It's pretty much a wall hanger for now. Any ideas on service options?

Craig, all you regulator dilemas can be easily solved in one of two ways. 1.Go back to the main page and under the information tab click on regulator servicing. Dan can fix it all up for you at a very good price. 2. Look in the parts section on the main page and get what you need and do it yourself! If you have questions or run into problems the folks on the board are always willing and able to help.

Dan I have a round label Royal with box ring clamp with serial number 105826. It is in mint shape, I got it off ebay 3 years ago from a guy in MI who claims to have bought it from the Gerber estate. I doubt if it had more than a couple of dives on it as the hoses, diaphram, etc were perfect. No scratches of any kind. Interestingly the auction ended during the superbowl. So I got if for a little over $100. I dove it yesterday and it works superbly. Also, it appears that the front case may have been a left over from the retangular metallic label time frame. An interior view of the front case shows the indent and holes for the "older" label. I have enclosed pics of this reg. (Blame Linda, she showed me how to do them). Allan Allan

FYI, I have a round label Royal with serial #154899, stick-on label not round plate stick-on and (#@&%) box clips instead of ring clamp and ordinary yoke. Alec Peirce a friend of mine has told me to be carefull of people putting together mismatched pieces(top box, bottom boxes and and labels that do not match in order to sell better! Any opinions on this anyone? Michel A.

Also, Has anyone ever looked into reproducing the desireable ring clamps of the later model Royals or whether there exists a generic ring clamp made by some company like Teconnex? Ring clamps are not unusual in the industrial and scientific world, any ideas? Michel A.
