Graeme, did you do the plating? I've been curious about electroless.

Morning vance... yes I specified electroless Nickel plating as it has quite a few advantages when coating finely machined parts like threads as it will build up evenly and predictably and is also slightly flexible and won't tend to flake off like chrome. A very light flash coating will be more satin finish, a heavier coating combined with electropolishing will give a nice high gloss finish but the build up is substantially thicker and needs to be taken into account when tolerancing the drawing. Chrome will tend to build up on all the high points like the tips of threads and will also tend to not deposit inside recesses unless special techniques are used, and the CAD adjusted accordingly... OK on a classic car bumper but not intricate parts like these. You will need to work with the plating supplier as they all have slightly different processes, then feed back into the CNC supplier. The colour is a little warmer than chrome, but usually doesn't matter. Gloss on the left, Satin on the right. These Poseidon to Atomic Comfort Swivel hose adaptors were a headache as I wanted both finishes! Poseidon adaptor Nickel plating compared by fibonacci101, on Flickr

OK confirmed prices with Australia Post (recent changes mean these prices are the same for one or ten units) Standard Airmail with tracking and insurance to $100, if a big order add another US$2.50|€2.40/£2 per additional $100 to cover insurance. USA US$25+$13.50=$38.50 EU €24+€15.50=€39.50 UK £21+£13.50=£34.50
Please let me know if interested?

Thanks Fred, glad you like them! Do you use an o-ring or an OEM style flat washer to seal to the body?

Thanks Fred, glad you like them! Do you use an o-ring or an OEM style flat washer to seal to the body? I use only OEM style flat, I have had no leak. Perfect Which O ring can be substituted with the OEM flat? Cheer's Fred

An ID 13.0 x 2.0mm o-ring will fit but is NOT recommended! The actual sealing surface is much smaller than the OEM flat seal which is ID 12.0 OD 17.0 x 2.0mm. The OEM LP adaptor was designed to have a precise level of preload without over-compressing and extruding the seal as it comes to a hard stop against the body. The OEM flat seals are also moulded not punched from sheet for a more precise fit into the recess.
Any demand for a custom run of LP port flat seals?

Last calls for these adaptors gents... Only a few left now and I'm unlikely to produce another batch anytime soon!
