There has been a drastic jump in pricing on Ebay for VDG, not sure why?? Inflation? I had a discussion as I will call it with someone asking a redonkuless price for some DH Regs. He said that they were EXTREMELY RARE. I explained that I had ## of them in a box under my work bench.. I was trying to buy his as a retirement gift for a old pal of mine to put in his desk. It would not have been a diving model. Must give the guy credit he stuck to his price.. they are still for sale 5 months later. I suspect the everyone here has a bench mark of what they are willing to pay and should pay for a rig?

As I said earlier in this thread, things have gone screwy on eBay. You need to do a bit of research before plunking down $$$ for vintage stuff. There are sellers who ask reasonable prices, and there are those who try to gouge.
I will sometimes chide a seller who tries to make more money with ridiculous shipping charges. Less often, I'll contact a seller who is making stupid claims that are obviously untrue. "Special Forces!!" "UDT!!" "Perfect condition!!" I sometimes get a polite response thanking me for the information, and some will even change the auction.
Usually, I get no response.

It’s time to resurrect this thread, as there are a few things going into “vintage scuba” on E-Bay that should not be there. The first is this Scott SCBA mask which should not, under any circumstances, be taken underwater. With the curved lens, you have about a 180 degrees circular field of vision, and any movement of the head will cause instant dizziness and/or vertigo. www.ebay.com/itm/314482579764?hash=item49389f5934:g:wpMAAOSwySVkHl-J&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA0HSTacIwU4vKo3XSxkqGsWRqnWVXE1NHMSW5gCxebWHwgbYFwg12Ye9fH3i4pD3wAmofyZRU8EtGXc2n1OIUVTl%2BQfF2ovmAncyFP%2FgoxgAwMv9u%2FIpZJFIhNSY12dEC7RWk8M3uRI9YdvTGLQuRyPr%2Bg0O62aXJS5SE8VKOV5eIyhos2E06TTDJ19%2FuTBbzqfEf0iIxaHt23muStAQVyfNL4JyTn1WrELxFms2Q901hdfR9Tyk3emx0CErBctK6uYlhTFufgSP8rJBRt0KdepI%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-j9yNroYQThis is a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for firefighting. The second, which I also pasted into an Aquamaster thread, is this “Aquamaster” which is in a DA Aqualung (Broxton) box. That means the Venturi, which should be pointed down the inhalation tube, is pointed 180 degrees away, toward the case’s box side instead. www.ebay.com/itm/145017121654?hash=item21c3b1ab76:g:eQIAAOSwDOhjTLlh&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwBJLBiKnln4jr3Rr5%2FSjQHcS3CuPMvB6OjleiSqnfkwlA%2FL798Od2%2F4uW1rbSveE1Vp7x5CjB04KjSIBGlH4UmqsgY9OxvAyPVkVf46uPF873FyI%2FRlZv3GKzgniqVu5mYjRxBAeFifGQd9h7Q4XIxD8fgx5srSnGWmJakYmuSLGIOVhxuG8%2BztfANXsllaEOuKWCRZSCrV462uYTYcCDtOLfiU1jvT%2BH9eNn3uyxeYrlDox%2FFoBWfjlaZjGbtQGqw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_Lin9noYQJohn

A while back, I bought a Navy with a DA valve in it. It was serendipitous, b/c I needed a set of Broxton boxes for a Broxton valve I had, and I needed the DAAM body for a set of DAAM boxes!
