Hello all. I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau, James Bond, National Geographic and have always wanted a double hose regulator. I have been diving for about 40 years and have finally picked up an Aqua Lung DA "Aqua-Master" off E-bay. I found the forum by accident but it seems very informative.

We have a ton of collective information about your AquaMaster. They can be updated so that they breathe practically effortlessly. Ask all the questions you want. Nothing is too small to inquire about. Mark

Ahoy Schultzy and welcome! There are other double hose regs to get as well if you like challenges: US Divers is kinda the gateway drug for most people as servicing them is very easy. We have a few hardcore Healthways people here who love the challenge of making our own parts, then how others can do the same JB

3rschultz, 'Good to hear from you. That DA Aquamaster is a great regulator, used by the U.S. Navy for decades. It is the predicessor of the Royal Aquamaster, which is a balanced version of the DA Aquamaster (first stage improvement). BUT, the DA Aquamaster by itself works great, and should be used as made for a while before thinking of "upgrading" it. Here's a photo of some of our class at the U.S. Naval School for Underwater Swimmers in 1967 at Key West, Florida. I wholeheartedly agree with John about:
"...the DA Aquamaster by itself works great, and should be used as made for a while before thinking of "upgrading" it..."

Welcome aboard, I just got my first US Divers Aqua-Master this Summer and dove it last week for the first time. I have no intention of "upgrading" it anytime soon, it works as good as I'll ever need how it is now. Mark
