The current national health emergency has me updating my estate (I use that term loosely) plan. I don't have an extensive collection of vintage gear but I do have some nice ones and a few are interesting. I would rather not have them thrown out or sold at a garage sale. I have no children and my wife's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are not interested.
In a perfect world I would sell them before I croak, sadly, I do not live in a perfect world. Some of this forum's members have extensive collections of vintage gear and at least a few of you are older than I am. Any thoughts?

Jim,
Great to find a home for your collection. I spent 6 months donating and selling my father's collection. It was thousands of pieces ranging from hog oilers to doorknobs.
You've got some great pieces. Have you considered donating to The Avalon Vintage Diving Museum?
Good Dives, Charlie

You will probably be inundated by tons of idiots "joking" that you can leave it all to them. Forget it. What a bunch of jerks.
Feel free to leave everything to me.

Not a bad idea except that you would Frankenstein everything up. Probably end up with a Royal-Div-Health-Titan XVI with a Hope-it-works mouthpiece.

In all seriousness, I would look to a younger generation and pick someone (or multiple someones) who would dive and maintain them. Then will them to those people with the requirement that they be passed on in the same manner (not sold for money, but passed freely to one who will use, maintain, and share the joy of them). Seriousness expended.. James

[by the way, preferred method is just don't die... problem solved! lol That made me think of the Bauhaus song, "Bela Lugosi's Dead" White on white translucent black capes Back on the back The bats have left the bell tower The victims have been bled Red velvet lines the black box Undead undead undead Undead undead undead The virginal brides file past his tomb Strewn with time's dead flowers Bereft in deathly bloom Alone in a darkened room The count Undead undead undead Undead undead undead Undead Oh Bela Bela's undead Oh Bela Bela's undead Bela's undead Oh Bela Bela's undead Oh Bela

Don't worry, your wife will take care of your junk. The first person she will call is Goodwill or the Salvation Army.

I don't care about the junk, it's the 1967 in-the-box RAM and the rest of the good stuff that worries me. Maybe I'll just send it toTomcat. At 50, he's the youngest person I know who is interested in it.

Since you mentioned age, I'm 41... And my 10 y.o. has A DAAM! But you also don't really know me, so there is that, lol.

I'm going to have it all put in my casket with me, I guess I'm taking it with me. In that case, would you kindly advise the lat/long of your final resting place and the time the security guard goes home?
Why, you ask? No reason, just curious....

Mark- It sounds like you think somebody might want my USD triples, or my Northills, or maybe the Sportsways DH regs.

Mark- It sounds like you think somebody might want my USD triples, or my Northills, or maybe the Sportsways DH regs. Nah, all that stuff is just junk. If you pay to ship it all to me, I'll take it to the local landfill for you and save you the bother. I promise and pinkie swear.....
