Okay, "contest" over! It looks like Karl is getting a pair of hoses for having the lowest DA Aquamaster serial number - 200893. Karl, please post a pic of the reg when you get a chance. "Vintage Bob", you've got the highest Mistral number - 210936. Please come back and sign up on the forum, let us know who you are, and post a pic of your regulator. Thanks, everyone - wasn't this fun?

I want to thank everyone who participated in this survey. It might be safe to say that the DA AquaMasters started with a serial around 200,000 and ended in the 400,000's. The Mistrals may have started around 100,000 and they may have made around 112,000 of them when production ended. If anyone finds a serial number that is out of these parameters, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks again! Dan Dan

John Blake (johnblickle) contributed this graph, along with the following paragraph: The distribution of serial numbers prompted me to plot them. In the attached figure I have plotted serial number vs. posting date. The Mistral numbers are in two groups with a gap of around 75,000 between the two groups. The probability that this grouping is a statistical fluke is nil. My guess is that with the move to Orange County, the company started numbering Mistral regulators from 200,000 rather than continuing in sequence. Therefore the total number produced was much smaller than the range of serial numbers. Anyone have a Royal Mistral number?

I have the reg and pictures have been taken. I am having trouble with my card reader. I will get the pics to you asap. I just got back from the Caribbean Explorer liveaboard and worked 3 days and might have a chance to go to Bonaire next week. No time for work... gotta go diving when I can. The hoses will be nice to use on this reg. It had a set of Dacor hoses and mp on it. Thanks, Karl
