Nice Looking Snark II Regulator- I've had my eye out for a Snark II single hose regulator to pair up with one of my Snark III double hose regulators... Using the low pressure port adaptor I got from Vance. Most of the time I see them listed for over $90 and they're usually not in very good condition. This one I got for $45 and it looks to be in Like-New condition... Maybe even NIB! - Interesting to note: The first stage on a Snark II has the same over pressure release as the Snark III (not visible in the above photo).

That's a nice looking regulator. I have a matching SPG, if you're interested!
If the Snark II is a tilt valve regulator, you'll have to use the over-pressure relief valve with your setup b/c both regs have upstream second stages. If you use a downstream second stage, you don't, but I don't think the Snark II ever had a downstream second stage. I could be wrong.

PY, I think the Delta was the same as the S2, but a downstream valve: I think that's what you got from me, so I believe you are correct.

If I leave the OPV functional on the Snark III and attach the Snark II to the brass LP adaptor nut that you made for me in the center of the reg... That should handle OPV duties for the Snark II as well shouldn't it? I hope so anyway because that is/was my plan.

Yes, of course. It will work fine, as long as the valve is working properly.
Those of us who fool around with rebuilds, adapters, and other mods have to always remember that a relief valve must be used with upstream second stages. You will encounter a runaway IP situation sooner or later, esp when pressurizing a newly serviced system.

JB The Delta could be a downstream unit, but I just don't remember. I don't have it any more. I'm inclined to think it was a tilt valve as well. Seamless rebranded some Healthways ScubaStars which might have been downstream 2nds, but I don't know. The only Nemrod single hose I have left is a Servo, which is also a tilt valve.

Here it is... I'm pretty sure it was a Delta-I: I also seem to recall that its internals were a USD clone. JB

Yup, that has a tilt valve. The only pics I have of Nemrod single hosers is an Ibiza I used to have. It is also a tilt valve reg.
