Hello If anyone has a US Divers Conshelf VI (single hose from the mid-late 1960's) that they want to sell for a decent price, please let me know. Thanks Mark I have a very nice older Conshelf. I think it's a VI? I have had it for a long time, and it was this clean when I got it. Not rebuilt.
Not cheap since it would disrupt my collection and it's a very nice reg... but will consider an offer. It would be hard to find another one in this condition Contact me 6000psi at gmail dot com
I will include new filter, new hp diaphragm & washer, New type OEM HP seat, new orings, new OEM silicone 2nd stage diaphragm. I haven't looked at the exhale valve, but will likely need one... may have something to fit but not sure.

Thanks, It's in really good condition for a pre-1970 that is at least 52 years old. I haven't looked to see when it first appeared in the line, but I did see it in 1966 catalog and it last appeared in 1969. I need to take it diving.

I would have sold it for $40, but never got an offer. There doesn't seem to be much interest in great old regs like this first Conshelf series anymore.

Actually I was just jokingly yanking another friend's chain about the $40 thing. I have recently decided to keep this nice little first version Conshelf in my Aqualung collection. Too nice to sell and then wish I had kept it. Also would feel bad if I caused your demise by selling it to you!

Bill, how does this perform differently than the Calypso of the same period? Doesn't it have a larger exhaust mushroom and better tee?

Bill, how does this perform differently than the Calypso of the same period? Doesn't it have a larger exhaust mushroom and better tee? JB The exhaust tee has a low profile and small area for exhalations to escape. I haven't opened up this second stage yet to see the exhaust mushroom size for comparison to the original Calypso that had the exhaust through the diaphragm plate and out the front cover of 2nd stage. Later Calypso second stages before 1970 were identical to this one, and I have seen and used those, but was so long ago I couldn't give a true size description. Will do that soon and put it in diving condition. I don't expect any noticeable difference in the performance of the two, at least in the shallow water that I will be testing them in (prob about 30'). I have always liked the early Calypso regs and have several in working order. It was highly touted in the early 60's after Swiss whiz Hannes Keller breathed from one at 1000' in 1962. That did require the breathing mix to be mostly Helium, maybe some other undisclosed inert gas, and very low percentage of Oxygen. Air would have been deadly, and way too dense to be breathing at that depth.

I use one on a pony tank for shallow dives testing gear, and have no issues with it.... But probably wouldn't want to take it deep.

Mark or James,
I have an incomplete VI first stage that is missing a couple of parts. I can probably come up with the HP valve guts other than a spring, but it's also missing the yoke. That got installed on my Russian AVM-1M. There is a main diaphragm spring.
I have a couple of these that I picked up for the Conshelf DoubleHose conversion. I think I gave the second stages away. The other one is missing the yoke, the HP spring retainer and IP adjuster, and the HP valve guts. Not much help there.
You can have either one for shipping if you want one. It's a start! LMK!

Sorry this has taken so long to get a reply. I have some Conshelf VI first and second stage parts. They are incomplete, but I don't recall what needs what. If you are still interested, LMK.

Yes. It's so nice I had planned to keep it, but have too many regulators!
