Jacob, photo distorts the measurement but it’s exactly 12 5/8” long and should fit the elbow and power inflator on your horse-collar. That looks like the ticket — PM has been sent. Thanks! Jacob

Thanks for your Florida dive report. That sounds like a trip you will remember for years to come. Got some adventure and some learning experience and time with Dad and brother. Here are some sources you might find useful. Dive Gear Express - BCD Parts and ComponentsI bought a nearly new SeaTec horsecollar that turned to have been run over or something... The hard plastic parts were all crushed. DGX had everything to restore this thing to new and I've had years of good service from it since then. The second thing I was going to recommend is a "SwimIt"... Lightweight airline CO2 vest in a wearable packet. I don't like wearing BCDs but I like the idea of emergency flotation. The SwimIt was developed for open water swimmers to wear on their thigh. I converted mine to wear on my weight belt. I have actually used it once in a semi-emergency... A fellow diver had run out of air from a free flow and this of course left him with no inflation for his BC on the surface. I was able to help with my little SwimIt CO2 inflated vest. I've been wearing my SWimIt on my weightbelt since about 2012. I bought another one a couple of years ago just as a spare. And now I can't seem to locate them online. I hope they're still around as this has been the perfect solution for me.

Eben,
I remember reading a thread where you showed your Seatec. You have one of the black military models, right? I like the bright orange, but part of me very much wants one of those.
I can understand your BCD aversion — so far the horsecollar is the only one I’ve actually liked wearing, but even it sometimes gets annoying. Still miles ahead of the jackets I learned on. I don’t necessarily need it where I normally dive, but the convenience and potential emergency use outweigh any potential gains. I’d still like to try it at some point however. Do you have any pictures of your SwimIt? I also can’t seem to find a SwimIt anywhere online.

One of these days I need to figure out either how to make, or where to get a vinyl welder: how totally boss would it be to make a new bladder for these old horse collars? Here's the Chief Engineer (RIP) with one of my Dacors: I'm sure a new OPV can be printed for the Dacor... JB
