I was wondering if anyone has successfully modified a Spiro Royal Mistral for use with a US tank valve. The nozzle that attaches to the tank valve is slightly larger than US regulators. The internal diameter is however the same. This would lead me to believe that the nozzle could be turned or even sanded down to shape due to the soft nature of the brass. There is only about 1/32" difference in the diameter. Normally I would be hesitant to remove material but in this case I would be reducing the size to that of a US regulator. I realize the potential issues with modifying any piece of technical equipment but I would be interrested in feedback from people with more experience. I was also wondering if anyone has information on the high pressure fitting on the Royal Mistral. Is it possible to adapt a US pressure guage to fit? I would also be interested if anyone had a French Gauge that would work. I do not care which units are used on the gauge. I apreciate any feedback. -Ryan

If you need informations about french equipment especialy about the french vintage regulators (problem for identify some parts...), you can contact me." « Thread started on: May 16th, 2003, 2:04pm » Nicolas should be able to help you. In my opinion, it would be a lot more cool to put a French pressure gauge on the French regulator rather than to get an adapter and use an American gauge. "It's not a French gauge. It's a FREEDOM gauge!" Tom DeLay.
