Diaphram The diaphram looks ok; but, probably should have a new one. Hope I can find one. What looks like cracks are just old age, they are just wrinkles ... no comments please on what I'm looking like !

LP stim holder Here's the question I have. When I got it, the small hole faced the oriface; shouldn't the large hole face it for better venturi effect and better breathing? Like was it assembled wrong last time it was serviced? What is the IP supposed to be set at? I still am looking for a service manual ... which would provide answers to both questions.

Also, anyone know if there are service kits available for these? Some of these came w/o the spg, and I think that's what I have.

The original mouthpiece was the screw on/off type, and that's what I hope to find for it .... anyone make reproductions?

Robert, I'll check mine, but I'm pretty sure that the large hole faces the intake, and not the small hole. Concerning the hose/mouthpiece, I have the original, but do not use it diving. I use either a Hope-Page or a USD. Currently, the USD hose and straight mouthpiece are on my unit. John John

I think they came with the Hope-Page from the factory. Is that the one where the mouth piece unscrews from the hose? back in the 70's ? 80's ? I had one like that. really good idea ... take off the mouthpiece and hang the regulator up for the hoses to dry.

Robert, this is the Hope-Page mouthpiece. It hasn't been made since the 1950s. I do have some photos of the Sportsways Hydro Twin mouthpiece, but I haven't uploaded them yet. Maybe later this weekend. John

Robert, I'm wondering if a Healthways diaphragm would work on that thing? I know they use some of the very same parts, like the valve-plunger: BTW Charlie Notthoff has some NOS, and he'll give you a more than fair price. Looks like a HW mushroom-valve would work too... I'm just thinking about the HW diaphragm because they make new silicone ones. Geepers, if that would work, I'd bet it would be a great breather: I've heard some really good things about their "Navy Unit", and as I recall they use a lot of the same parts... Just thinking out loud, very cool reg. Hey--show us the label, fer cryin' out loud! Jaybird

Robert, I confirmed today that the large hole should be pointed down the inhalation hose for the second stage poppet.
Also, I did some experimenting on the diaphragm, and wrote on your other thread about that.
Jaybird, the Hydro Twin can be a great breathing regulator too.
