Howdy all! It's been a while. Retired from the "day job" almost one year ago, and I've just been consolidating my shop and projects. Now I get to focus on the kind of work I enjoy. Will be posting new stuff about projects at the website more often in the future. And Vulcania Submarine has a Facebook page now. I really don't get Facebook, except that it seems like a way of communicating with others, and everybody seems to have it, so we got one. I put up a purty picture. After that I don't know where that page is going. But if anybody's interested in it, there it is. That's about all I can think of for now. Hope everybody's been safe and having fun. VBR, Pat

Hey! I was wondering how you were doing! Sounds like you are having a good time, and it's great that you will have more time for projects. I bet they will be awesome. Thanks for stopping by.

Pat,
If on fb, do a search for Robert Berry + Chico, CA and send me a friends request!

Pat, welcome back after your interlude with retirement. I just did that, and am starting to enjoy it too. I sent both you and Robert a friend request on Facebook.

Well, thank you all very much!
Linda, I feel like I just got my life back. I've got some Leagues-related ideas for the future, and I'll for sure be letting you folks here at Vintage SCUBA know what's going on. Mahalo!
Robert: thanks! Will do!
John: It's nice, huh? Looking back, does it still amaze you that you made it this far? Our generation sure saw some schnit, no?
I retired from the Department of Public Safety. Got out at 62 with a pension and SS. Honestly, most of the last year has just been about getting off the treadmill. It'sd nice to be able to not do anything at all today if I don't want to, but it takes some getting used to. I still have the feeling that I'm always supposed to be doing something, and I actually had to re-train myself to relax and enjoy the ride. All the best to you. Enjoy, man! That's what it's all about.
Yack at y'all later!
VBR,
Pat

Pat, yes it does amaze me about that...that I'm still here and have made it to retirement. I did it a bit later than you, as I'll be 67 in December. I have a pretty good retirement coming in from both SS and a public employee's retirement I earned in another job. But I still haven't gotten completely off the treadmill; my company asked me to come in for a few hours the week after I retired, and again on Friday. They still haven't hired my replacement, and because of the complexities of that job I expect more work getting that person oriented when he or she is hired.
So I'm in the process of stepping off the treadmill, and have a number of projects in mind (a book, for instance [Hi Jaybird]), and some equipment workups for diving.
Pat, concerning equipment, I'm going to send you a PM that you may want to read. I don't want to do it on Facebook, but the PM system here is pretty good. 'Talk with you later.
John

Hey, I missed you! Was wondering where you went, but I was gone a while too with computer issues, and now don't get on as much as before. Glad you're back.

Hope you are having a happy birthday today! Thank you very much! :-) But to be honest, it's really not my birthday. I always lie about that when I'm signing up on websites. Paranoid about hackers getting my personal information, I guess. Besides, I'm really not sure when it is. My Birth Certificate is a clay tablet scribed in Sanskrit...but the actual date was obliterated eons ago. But actually, yeah. It was a really nice day today. Thanks for thinking of us, Linda.
