Too bad that someone did not make a reproduction of the blue Healthways hoses. My SCUBA came with blues hoses, but they are are too FUBAR'd to use.
The Scuba Museum (not to be confused with Scuba Museum) did have repro. hoses, main diaphragms, body gaskets, and mouthpiece valves for Healthways, but I'm sure you probably knew that by now? Mark

Mark Thanks, Mark, but yes. I'm spending a fortune there! As for blue hoses, I suppose we're lucky that any repro parts at all are made, esp for a reg that isn't USD or Voit. We're a vast minority! Speaking of hoses, The hoses that came with Deluxe #2 are skinny little fellas. They feel and look pretty new, but are awful thin. Here's a shot of #2 fitted out with #1s hose loop, and the loop that came off it. At least I have enough hoses and mps for the 3 HWs I've acquired. For now....

John, you especially will be interested to know that the second Deluxe I got has a bent tab to keep the diaphragm off the exhaust mushroom like the Gold Label. I'll get a picture when I take it back apart to replace the mushroom I just ordered. I don't think it was added later. It looks like it is factory.

Phil, I can't help but wonder if this fit's the profile of the hoses you have! If he hose fits, wear it... Oh wait, that one's about shoes! JB

You'll notice that the ends are as large as the outside of the coils on the skinnies!

Here's the HW DH lineup (so far!)
The Deluxe with the HP mouthpiece is ready to pool test. (Still waiting on my tank!) The other deluxe is waiting for its exhaust mushroom, and the Divair only lacks the diaphragm. And they're all waiting for their brother, the 1st gen SCUBA! Phil

Really cool bruddah! Hey, you might want to get some silicone spray and dose those Divair hoses, if you ain't dunnet already: I'm quite envious BTW I'm sure you must be waiting for a Goldie to show up on eBait, you ain't foolin' no one pal... JB

As far as foolin' anyone, you got me.
The DivAir hoses are super flexible and show no signs of rot. They are a lot like the EPDMs I got got for Deluxe #1. There's very little set to them. The Tinnermans stained the ends with rust, but they cleaned up a bit. Once the clamps are back on, they should cover most of the stubborn stains. There is a pretty significant difference between the color on the outside and the inside, though, which is a nice light gray. It must have been beautiful when new! Phil

OK! Got the SCUBA rev1 today. It's better, and worse, than I thought. Here are some pics: DSCF1970 by Vancetp, on Flickr
I think you'll be surprised how it'll clean up! Phil

I think someone put this Healthways SCUBA into storage with some sea water inside. But I think it will clean up nicely.

Yup. You can see the water line! I'll have to make a duckbill for it, though. The old one came out in little bitty pieces.

YIKES--this one made me wince/grimace! WOW, I wanna see the actuator, valve seat and plunger... or do I? JB EDIT: Huh, that end of the lever on left side looks like it has roasted sesame-seeds on it--YUM!

It's cleaning up, but I think a new set of pivot pins. The seat, nylon plunger, restrictor, and spring are ok, but the snap ring is broken and the sintered filter is toast. Fortunately, I have a spare. Anyone have a decent spare lever assembly they'd part with?

The kewl part is, it was complete, minus the hose loop, which I don't need! I got the secondary diaphragm clamp, and both diaphragms have a chance of being usable. Don't need the rubber band. I think the cans will polish up with some elbow grease, and it should become a divable unit, after I make a duckbill! Yowza! I'll post picks of the progress. I'm off to my cabin for the w/e. I'll be in touch after!
