I'm curios how the bubble in my depth gauge/compass would effect operation..? So I'll take it on a dive and compare it to the computer. I like the gauges JB. Have you had them to depth yet? Lookin good buddy DD

DD, that bubble is to make sure you have the gauge in a horizontal position, hence the red circle: keep the bubble in the bull's eye, it's a level! Or maybe it's keep the bull's eye in the bubble Okay, here ya go: No, I haven't had it out yet: one of these days I'm gunna strap them all on one arm and see how they all perform! I'll prolly look like the guy in the old movies, "Hey buddy, wanna buy a watch..." Jaybird

I was sitting there looking at the strap on my new depth gauge, man it's huge: the first thing that came to mind was, "gorilla wrists": even with a wetsuit on, I really can't imagine anyone having wrists that big. Perhaps they were thinking of someone with a cast on their arm? I put it on the last hole and with a closed fist I it was nowhere near touching my wrist--huh?

The Hydronaut...another contender for my entry into Sportsways. Like the classic film with Robert Mitchum "Out of the Past", this topic gets a new life. Mark
