Just getting started with vintage gear and trying to figure out what I need for a double hose setup. I'd like a way to hookup a BC and pressure gauge - know this is probably not the done thing here, but would like to feel comfortable with a two hose reg first.
Do I need to have vintage tanks or can modern DIN tanks somehow be adapted for the old regs ? (with 2400psi, of course).
Dumb questions probably - sorry.

Hello, later model double-hoses (Voit Trieste, SportWays Dual-Air, and Nemrod for example) had HP and LP ports. The hookah fitting on US Diver AquaMasters (DA and Royal) can be adapted as a LP fitting. There is a posting on this board somewhere that says what size fittings to use. You can always use a BC with a manual inflator. There wouldn't be much point adapting an old regulator to DIN since they are designed for low pressure. It would be easier just to get another tank and put a j-valve in it. A steel 72 might be better because of size and bouyancy characteristics, but an aluminum tank will work alright.
