On Bostons Fox affiliate there was a story about Ray Whoolley this morning. It seems Mr. Whooley did a 48 minute dive yesterday reaching a max depth of 139 feet, while exploring a shipwreck off Cyprus. I'm sure many will say "that's no big deal, I've done that", well Mr Whoolley did it to celebrate his 96th birthday.

Only 23 more years until I can dive at his current age (I have this feeling that the record will increase again next year, and the year after, and...). 😀

John- Here's hoping you're still diving, sharing your knowledge and past life experiences with us 23 years from now.

No, this is the man, Ray Woolley, a true vintage diver using a Scubapro Mk V/109 regulator.

I don't mean to be too picky, but he is actually diving a Mk-5 with a 108 second stage. The original Mk-5 from before 1968 was paired up with the 108 before the 109 came out, but the Mk-5 that Ray Woolley is using is not that old. It looks like a late 70’s (or maybe early 80’s). The exhaust T on his 108 also makes it a later model (probably late 70’s). So I am not sure why he made this combination, but it works for him. Thanks for the video. That is cool.
