Frédérick Dumas in the original Aqualung J.Y. Cousteau and Emile Gagnan inspect an early regulator. The RAID system by La Spiro. I have just found this website which shows the history of U.S. Divers Company/Aqualung equipment. It has some interesting photos and descriptions. us.aqualung.com/en/ourstory.htmlJohn

A nice collection of La Spirotechnique info can be found at Spiro-vintage.com Presentation is not quite as slick as Aqualung, but digging around yields information I have not found elsewhere. Single hose chronologyDouble hose chronology

A nice collection of La Spirotechnique info can be found at Spiro-vintage.com Presentation is not quite as slick as Aqualung, but digging around yields information I have not found elsewhere. Single hose chronologyDouble hose chronologyUnder your La Spiro link for Double Hose History, I found these very interesting photos. I don't think I've seen the interior mechanism for the first Aqualung ever shown before. This is the interior, with the diaphragm pulled up. A side view. How the box was sealed. And this is the underside of the diaphragm. Let me know if Aqualung doesn't want these linked, and I'll pull this post. They are copyrighted by M. Cobrére, but I think this is important enough to show. John
