Many moons ago ... I bought my second diving mask (my first has long since disappeared) and used it for many years. It was a White Stag mask. One of the first silicone rubber mask they came out with (this is giving away my age). This mask was made before they put purge valves in most mask to fill up with sand and make you clear your mask continuously). As you can see by my avatar, I have very bad eyesight (look at the thick lenses in my mask). I would like to find a face plate for this mask as my eye glass prescription has changed a lot since then. Anyone know where I could get one?

About the mask, I did put it was clear silicon so hope everyone doesn't think it's the one I'm wearing in my pictue. Don't know much else. When Dea had the dive store she tried to get me a new face plate for it. Since White Stag went out of business many years ago, she was unable to get one. Last time I changed the face plate was around 1981 when it got broke on the Coral Sea. They had switched the bunks from the canvas bunks to the small metal bunks and I closed the bunk and heard a very distressing 'crunch' sound. We had one person in our division who always complained about the metal bunks. He was about 6' 4" and never fit.
I was wondering if anyone cuts tempered glass to restore old diving mask or if mayby an old dive store might have one in stock.

Why not take the old glass or a pattern to a glass shop and see if they can cut you a new one? James

Aloha Scubadiverbob can you post a picture? Or the dimensions of the faceplate. I will look into my hoard of old dive masks, and leftover glass, to see if I can help Aloha Turtleguy9 About the mask, I did put it was clear silicon so hope everyone doesn't think it's the one I'm wearing in my pictue. If the lenses are glued on, you can take them off. I forget what you use, but it can be done. I can try and find out for you if that is the type of lenses you have. Let me know, Mine came off real easy.
