My parents have some pictures, I will dig through the archives if I get home over Christmas, an ailing dog may prevent that. It was beautiful but I like your Chris Craft way better. It is such a shame that wooden boats are essentially gone. These things were built like fine furniture and were obviously the work of skilled craftsman. Sure, there are wooden boats being custom built today but they are expensive and boats are expensive to begin with. I have a friend here who is in a wooden boat club. He goes to ralleys all over the country. They had a rally at table Rock that just happened to coincide with one of our trips there. We saw several cabin type boats that would make your eyes pop out including one similar to yours. James

I know that we can learn a lot about a person by his/her boat, so I thought I would share with you my watercraft: It has a few advantages over all the others seen here. The canoe's initial costs are rather lower than other watercraft. I can put it on my shoulders and walk to the water, and therefore don't need a boat ramp. I can manouver into areas that these other boats will never get to. And the cost of upkeep is minimal. I cannot boast about gliding over the water at 35 mph either, and my ablitiy to haul diving gear is rather limited. I also get a lot of good exercise from my canoe too. Here, I am paddling upstream on the North Umpqua River near Roseburg, where I used to live. Using the double paddle I modified, I could go against some rather fast water. The photos were taken using a Canon T-70 camera on a tripod set up on an island, and a command back. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, and may your boating dreams come true. John

I also have done a lot of canoe diving. Works great for many of the rivers I dive. I have several canoes, Most of them will carry approx. 1,000 lbs. of weight. I usually carry 6 tanks max and two divers. Also have several kayaks I use. I have been diving off of a Reggae Islander sit-on-top that works well also.
