Hi,
I was just about to throw out, after salvaging the zippers, a US Divers 5 zipper nylon 2-side suit that I purchased new in about 1975.
It's sized for someone about 5'8" and 130 lb., which I was 30+ years ago.
Is this worth anything?
Thanks.

If it is in useable condition then yes it is worth something.Wetsuits don't generally bring large sums but a nice suit that is in very good condition could bring up to 100 dollars. Problem is that you suit is a small and most divers I know are XL or larger and those are the suits that bring the best prices.

Hey,
Don't salvage the zippers! If it's in pretty good shape you should put it in the sales section of the forum. I know at Play it Again Sports here in Chico, they have used wetsuits, some not in too good of condition, for $75 to $100 and kayakers keep them bought out. They had a really nice shark skin; but, it was too small for me. Show a picture of it and see what others say. If it's got zippers on the legs and arms it's worth a little more (easier to put on).

Older nylon-laminated suits don't generally bring very much. Usually not much more than $40-50. But, you never know. Put it up for sale, or post it at auction and if the right people come along...... Whatever you do, please don't throw it out if it is good shape. If it can find a good home then give it a second life. I'd bet someone is looking for a good, vintage nylon USD suit in that size. There are only going to be fewer and fewer of these old suits out there, especially if people keep using the darned things ;-)
