I got a piece of neoprene cord stock from McMaster Carr that was rated at 50 durometer in hardness. I got it in 7mm diameter as opposed to the standard 1/4" or 1/2" pieces that I had been trying. Then I trimmed the length to so that it stuck up above the seat base about 1/32" like I remember the original did. I have the IP set right around 95-100psi and everything seems to be cool. It breathes as well as the old guy should and has no leaks!!
Dan, your recommendation for 2 1/2 turns out on the adjustment screws on the horseshoe are right on the money!!! 2 turns and it's dang hard to breathe.....3 turns and it free flows.
Thanks to everyone for all their help!!

Cool! I'll print this and keep it for my records. I went to www.mcmaster.com/ and saw: "O-Ring Cord Stock" with english measure diameters. I didn't see 7 mm. Is this the same stuff? What exactly is it that I am looking for? System of Measurement Inch Material Neoprene Durometer Shore A: 65-75 Operating Temperature Range -40° to +212°F Color Black Maximum Continuous Length 100'
