Here's a question from a new member that was posted in Nemo's website format thread. To All, I have a Northhill Air-Lung regulator complete. I have had it for some time along with a USD Aqua- Lung reg #14007, it needs hoses. Does anyone know what they are worth and their age? thanks in advance. Tony

14007 is a short horn blue broxton. Made early 1954. You didnt mention condition. These early ones are worth plenty. They all need hoses. Sounds like a swell holiday gift for someone!

The USD reg. #14007 is in good shape no dents, has one metal clamp with part of a hose, blue lable all readable. I have not opened it to look inside, but it appears to be intact. what other info. do you need, that might help? Thanks Broxton. Tony

The Northill Air-Lung reg. is in great condition with hoses and org. mouth. Mouth piece has some cracking. Has reserve with pull string. Tony

There is info on the Northill on this site. Look in the museum under rare double hose reg's. As to what it's worth, I've seen these pop up on ebay from time to time and they can go pretty high if the right people are bidding. I think you can do a search on solds on ebay right now to establish an actual value. I am interested in the Northill and would like to examine one close up some time. They appear to be built like a tank. I may look into buying one someday but as funds are pretty tight, I limit my aquistions to reg's that I can restore and actually dive. The Northill, especially in OEM condition would almost certainly be a wall hanger. A cool one, but a wall hanger. Just my opinion. Good luck.

eBay item # 140192789375 is for a Northill that has not sold on an eBay store. It has been there for sometime and even offered at a few hundred dollars less on the regular eBay. It is a great classic, but not as popular as some more common regulators. I must admit I would like to buy one, but not at the price wanted by this seller. Some items seem to find a saturation point fairly early, and while examples go for a high price for a while, they often taper off. If I were you, I would keep it until a time when there is a greater demand. Blue labeled Broxtons vary in value with condition and hose type, but can go for well over $500. Probably the best reference for Aqua Lung double hose regulators is the Historical Divers Society magazine; Historical Diver Vol 13, Issue 1, Number 42, Winter 2005. Contact www.hds.com for back issues. You just may want to keep that regulator when you find it's place in diving history. Both of your regulator's are certainly collectable. I hope that helps. Good Luck!

From what I have seen, the Northill Garrett Air Lungs generally go for 300-400 USD, and the blue label Broxtons for 200-350.

Crappy ones go for 200.00... real junk. Decent ones go for........ mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I sold an all original one 20xxx with original one piece hose assy for $450.00 just before the holidays. If your going to buy one of these broXton regs, pay the price and get one in the best condition you can. You can overhaul them for a couple bucks, but you cant replace corroded metal, or rotted hoses. You get what you pay for.
