Hmmm, Interesting. Any idea where Dan?
Traditionally we don't start diving around here until like May. I don't dive dry, so water's too cold until at least May in my parts...

Are you all still looking for vintage divers in New England? I am in Maine, near Portland.

Greetings all, I am from Cape Cod and live right on the water here close to the Cape Cod Canal. I own a 16 foot Carolina Skiff with a 50 merc that I use for fishing and haul to Florida in the winter. Diving is pretty good on the Cape and the lobsters on the north side are excellent. I've been here for over 20 years now and only dove cape waters once or twice. I usually dive Florida as my son lives in Ft. Lauderdale. I don't have any equipment up here as my son uses it down there. I have an old 1969 USDivers Aqua Master Reg. in excellent condition. All it would need is a thourough check out and maybe a part here or there. I used to dive Winthrop, MA and Follly Cove in Glouster, MA for years back in the early 70's. Speaking of Folly Cove, now that would be an excellent dive to plan for the group. You enter the water from the large flat rocks on the east side and work your way west to the other side. It slopes from about 35' from east to about 60' on the west side of the cove. Temps are comfortable using a 1/4" wetsuit but the mouth of the cove faces north so the water is quite cold in early spring and late fall. The vis is usually about 20-30 feet and is a sandy bottom. Me and my partner caught an 18 1/2 lb lobster on the west wall in 40' of water back in 1972 and donated it to the New England Aquarium. Oh BTW, the regulator I described above? That was the one I used getting the lobster and many others during that period. It's about time that I got back into diving and put it to good use. Ciao for now.
