when you get equipment with salt water corrosion on it, because it was missed on cleanup after diving, what is the best way to remove it, without damaging the equipment, or should it be sent to someone that dos this professionally.

This is what works for me..... 1/4 cup plain white vinegar 1/4 cut Simple Green 1/2 gallon of hot water (not boiling, just hot tap water)
Let it soak 3 or 4 hours or overnight if the verdigris is really heavy.....Rinse well with cool water while gently scrubbing with a fingernail brush or some similar type of soft nylon brush and you should be good to go.
