Hi everybody, as you can see from my last post I have managed to fix the freeflow on my reg. However, I have since got hold of a manual, I now know that the leak was from the over pressure relief valve, this consists of a rubber seal on the end of a spring, held in by the 'adjusting screw' basically just a threaded plug. The manual says to screw it in flush with the backside of the second stage chamber, then give one more turn. Unfortunatly this still allows a leak, to stop this I have to tighten the adjuster screw a lot further. Any ideas on why this should be? My thoughts are 1)the wrong interstage pressure, 2)The spring has lost its tension, 3) the rubber seal has hardened and wont seal over the valve.
I apologise If this doesn't make any sense, its rapidly becoming a ramble!

According to an old paper I have on repairing Nemrod products (Snark II and Snark III), the interstage pressure at 500 psi tank pressure is supposed to be 115 psi. If it is higher, then the overpressure relief valve may do what it is supposed to do, which is bleed off the excess pressure.

If you have too much overpressure, get a bag of "BEANO"!

actually, i think beano would be very dangerous, because with beano, there will be no gas, and you would not want that 90 feet down
