Can anyone tell me what I need for part numbers from McMaster-Carr to make an octopus adapter for me Aqua Lung DA? I want to add an octo to my rig via the hookah port. Has anyone done this? Part numbers? Thanks,

I recently bought an LP adapter from Dennis and a Sherwood Shadow Plus octo which allows for second air and BC inflation with one hose. He suggested a 39" hose which I also bought. I haven't had time to attach them to my Royal Aqua Master, but hope to do so this weekend. Dennis may have some fittings left to sell.

Glad Dennis had one for you. If you send me your email address I will send you a photo of my setup when I get it put together. Now, if I could find a banjo adapter....

John & ScoobieDoo, Glad to see that Dennis came through for you guys. Dennis, It would be great if you would post your parts list/guide since it appears that you have sold your last adapter. Thanks! Joe

Dennis was seeking his receipt from when he purchased these parts but hasn't found it as of yet. I was hoping to get a list of part names, sizes for myself and others so we could duplicate his effort...

Yea, Those are the parts to make a IP guage for setting the IP pressure - and they work super! However, it has a male fitting that goes INSIDE the LP air hose for the pressure gauge. Now, if I wanted to CUT the 3/8" male fitting OFF of a modern octopus and use this system with a hose clamp - sure. But, I wanted a fitting that will allow me to SCREW my 3/8" male end of my octo hose into it so I don't have to cut the stock LP hose on it... The hookah thread is 9/16"x18 male on the regulator. So, one of the McMaster part numbers is a brass 9/16x18 female fitting that mounts up to the hookah port nicely. The problem is, going from that 9/16x18 nut to a 3/8" female fitting for the modern octo. You could accomplish this with a short, say, 4 inch LP hose and 2 hose clamps - but I wanted a more 'finished' looking product...
Heck, I just spent $200 having my Aqua Master DA re-chrome plated all over!
Kabish?
I can't figure out what I need from McMaster's catalog to make the 3/8's FEMALE part mount into the nut that goes onto the Hookah port.

I hear you on your finished look you are going for! Over this past summer I had My Royal A Master rechromed for the $200 range.......The last thing I want to do is go half assed on the Octo part that I want to add!

You guys are right on track!
These regulators deserve better then some jury-rigged "clamped together" octopus adapter.
I'll be watching this thread and keeping my fingers crossed that Dennis finds his receipt.

Why don't you all keep it clean by using an Scuba Pro air ll inflator on a BC if you use one.
