This forum is dedicated to the "preservation, restoration, and appreciation of antique and vintage scuba gear for collectors and users alike. " (Excerpt from this forum's home page)
Welcome aboard, and please do join in. You might want to start with sharing what drew you here in the first place. Do you collect vintage gear, dive it, or does it just interest you?

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I've been diveing (this time) for 3 years and over 300 dives. Previously I was Certified in 1964 at Wheelus AFB, Tripoli, Libia. Expense and carreer kept me from SCUBA for the next 30 years. but did enjoy snorkleing and free dive spearfishing off and on when ever I was near the ocean. I fully retired 3 years ago and desided to take up Scuba again. So did my wife! and we've been very active divers ever since. Got interested in the ventage equipment right away. I've aquired a mid 70's Calypso for my 1st restoration project but I'm sure it won't be my last. I was searching for parts and manuals when I discoverd this site.

Welcome, there are sevral people who enjoy the old single hosers with classic brass seconds. That is a fine regulator. I have a 66 Calypso I have had since I was a kid, still works and right now the second stage is serving for second on my Phoenix I Royal Aqua Master. It is reliable and true blue. You may have to scrounge for parts but you should be able to get it going agan just fine, pictures of all old stuff is required BTW, new rule . Nem

Thanks for the kind welcome. The Old calypso is comming along real well. Got a HP seat from "broxton" and a Schematic/ patrs list from "time2dive". was able to find a HP hose in my LDS (Diver's Den) of Panama City. Really looking forwrd to diveing it at the next club dive. - lots of old school members - " Tyndall Dive Flight, TAFB, FL" Probablly gong to rig it with a new stile inflator hose.( I've got a hoarse collar BC but not servicable yet) Will rely on my Pony for redundant air source. The 19 cuft pony is equiped with one of the newer Calypsos and an ABS octo.
Know this ain't where my intrest in vintage gear will end but it 's a great starting point
