Some of you may not remember or have seen this. In the early 70's Jacques Cousteau produced a series of television showes called The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau. In it the divers used a furturistic looking peice of diving equiptment . It consisted of a yellow housing enclosing twin tanks similar to the USD 1 unit. This unit did not use nylon straps for the shoulders. Instead there were 2 ridgid hinged shoulder straps that came together into a large triangular housing on the chest. Two hoses similar to the hoses on a 2 hose regulator came out of the chest housing. A smaller hose came over the shoulder from the back housing to the chest housing. Looked very high tech. In reality all it was was a modified Aqua Master with the first stage and yoke removed an a plug installed in place of the first stage. The smaller hose supplied intermediate pressure from a single hose first stage in the back pack to the hooka port on the Aqua Master. I wonder how this setup breathed with the diaphragm located on the chest rather than on the back. Does anyone have any information or pictures of this rig.
