Haven't actually tried it, but I don't believe it will work. I've been experimenting with a dual manifold, with one center yoke connection and one connection on top of the right hand tank, and I have to angle my two hose slightly to get it to fit. The H valves have less clearance. Will try to post a picture next week of the set up I'm working on if you are interested.

I think an H valve would work just fine, you would have to use the double hose reg on the upper fitting and the octo on the lower. Thanks for the idea, I think I will try it myself. I have several tanks with H valves on them. caveman ALSO; the lower fitting may have to be redirected a little.(did not have to redirect the lower post).

Today I checked if this setup would work, and it did. I used a scubapro valve and a O M S . Both worked without any hassle whatsoever. I used the 232 bar valves with the yoke attachment of a Healthways Delux reg on the top post, and a Posiden using the Din connection for the octo. When finished it worked very well and gave me a little more then a quarter inch clearence between the Healthway and the Posiden 1st stage. It put the octo on my left side which works quite well as the Posiden breathes from either side. caveman

What is the Diameter of your regulator? I'd be interested in trying this with my Aquamaster. I guess the offset of the valves is what makes it fit. ;D

The reg is 4 and 1/2 inches at the housing and 5 and 1/4 inch at the band that holds the two halves together. I did not have to relocate the valve posts to make the fit. Works quite well with about 1/4 inch clearence. caveman

WHen I tried it with my manifold, the bodies fit side by side, but the ouboard reg hit my inhalation hose, causing the 2 hose to be tilted, I'm going to have to try the H valve, I can see where that could cure my problem.

I know that when I put both regs on my H valve setup they looked like they were made to go together. The best of all I will have my vintage setup very original and have all the conveniences of an SPG and an octo. The best of both worlds. caveman

I just checked, the valves are going for $46 each... I think that is totally doable! I guess that my buddies will have to get used to seeing a 2 hose reg more often!

Same here, I will probably not be using doubles and pony bottles as much this year as last. caveman

Arggh! I just received 2 of the Thermo H Valves and tried my DA on one of them. The yoke of the reg doesn't fit around the valve! Now I have to try and swap out the yoke of my DA and put one on that fits, assuming I have one. Thankfully I am not quite a purist, I just want to get a good setup with a pressure gage and drysuit inflation...

If I was a betting man, which I am not I would bet that you have a 300 bar H-valve. What you really need is a 232 bar valve. I had no trouble with my Healthways of my Royal Aqualand using the later. caveman

The valves are the "convertible" type that have a removeable insert so they can be either Yoke or DIN and that is what makes them to fat for the old (skinny) yoke of the DA
