Could it be the brand of valves you bought , Or maby the yoke plug not all the way in? I just checked three double hose regs with eight different H-valve setups. All were 232 bar and some were scubapro and a couple were O M S. Not a hitch, everyone fit with plenty of room to spare. caveman

It is the valve itself (thermo brand). As I mentioned before the valve is designed to work as either a regular K valve or a DIN valve, so they made it wider to be able to do both. The part of the valve that the yoke fits over is pretty wide, and the yoke itself angles in towards the outer end (where the screw is). Put both of those things together and the yoke don't fit! I tried a new Scuba pro on it and the newer yoke fit, but didn't have a whole lot of clearence. I will just have to swap the yoke out from the reg. I have read that some people were leery of the old skinny yokes anyway... I am not really concerned about the reg not being stock, I just want it to work.

It is the valve itself (thermo brand). Just wonder would it work if you take out the "H" adaptor and fit it on to the another "Thermo" Modular version "K" valve. Sam

Every valve I checked was a 232 bar convertible (J or K) valve. It fit on all of them. I tried it on a couple of 300 bar Din only valves and it would not fit. I wish you luck, it looks like the brand of valve you have is just made much thicker then the Scubapro and O M S. caveman caveman

Sam, I was trying it on just the K valve portion. They just beefed up the valve in order to work for DIN also. I suppose that if I had a non-convertible (i.e. non-modular) valve it would probably fit. Luckily I didn't pay too much for it and like I said if I change out the yoke it will probably work. I will also be able to convert the valve to a manifold if I want...
Thats what I get for trying to be fancy AND cheap (oooooh! Its on sale! Gotta Get I!)
BTW - on the Northwestdiver.com board word is going around that Abysmal diving is going out of business after this sale, not simply moving...
