Ron was nice enough to send me copies of the U.S. Divers manual and parts breakdown for the new MENTOR regulator as well as a very old copy of a repair manual from the Scripps Institute in San Diego. It covers repairs on very early Aqua-Lungs for the times the research vessels were out to sea and could not return them to U.S. Divers for repair. It's a great item with some neat black and white pictures and some parts on the regulators that I had never seen. I am having them scanned as PDF documents and will have them available next week to E-mail to those who are interested. Please E-mail me and I'll get it out to you as soon as I can. The files are large so leave some room in your mailboxes. Some of you have heard Sam Miller talk about what a great guy Ron is and I just wanted to add my 2 cents on that. He is also a wealth of knowledge on double hose regulators especially the anti-magnetic series.

Bryan, thanks for the kind words, I just like to help anyone who has the need and wants what little knowledge I have, which comes from over 35 years of doing light to medium commercial work, and divng with my pardner, Newman Smith, now deceased, who was in early U.D.T. We dove together for those 35 years, hunted together, vacationed together, and were very close friends. He was the brother I never had. Many have been kind enough to pass on their knowledge to me, especially Dr. Sam, and others of his ability and knowledge. That is why I like this link and like talking to many of you. I will help anyone I can who wants to learn. Many thanks again.---Dan and Linda, keep up the link for us all to learn and keep vintage diving alive-----Ron "Hillbilly" Miller

Ron, have you got any vintage pics of you and your friend Newman, in the early days? They would be a great addition to our gallery of photo contributions... Email me if you have any to send by regular mail. I could scan them and return them to you unharmed. Good to have you here on the forum! Linda
