Hello to all from an "seasoned" diver new to the forum. I've followed the forum for several years but have finally jumped aboard. New to the forum, but not new to diving. I started diving in 1957 and still have "fond" memories of the old two hose regs which left the taste of tires in your mouth, and no one way valves! Over the course of the years, I became a NAUI Instructor, AAUS scientific diver, Dive Safety Officer, DAN O2 Instructor and other things associated with those. I've "collected" vintage equipment by virtue of seldom throwing anything away!

waterdog,
'Glad to have you on board. We need people who remember, and don't throw away that great ol' equipment. I'm also happy that you have been reading here, and enjoying our discussions.

Please send me some suggestions about that.

Welcome to the forum; both of you!
robartjess, your in the right place to learn. You've taken an openwater class, right? If you want to get into underwater photography, this is especially the best place to be. Doublehose regs, and rebreathers, are what quite a few u/w photographers use; because, no bubbles in your face. You will have to be trained to use either one. They are both different than a single hose. Like my son told me "no purge button, dad"; well that's the biggest difference.
