It is definitely the real deal The reserve is over $1000. That is pretty high. If I had to venture a guess based on other Cousteau Equipment I have acquired I would value the suit at about $1500, but I could see it gong for $2000-2500 if someone gets excited. The black and yellow suits are not that rare since they were used for many many years and they made many generations of them. But it would be a nice addition to the collection. A lot of the Cousteau equipment was sold off after expeditions or given away in exchange for assistance at different Cousteau events. It's out there but the trick is finding it. Most people probably don't even know what they have. We will like see quite a bit of Cousteau equipment surface over the next year or so. This is the second yellow & black suit on ebay in the last 2 months. -Ryan

I remember USD marketing these suits to the public in their 73, 74 or 75 catalogs.
