Have a DA Navy Approved twin hose aqualung and looking for information. The reg was said to have belonged to the Canadian Navy, Shearwater Fleet Unit and is finished in a two tone colour. The label side of the body is a dull silver whilst the other side appears to have been sprayed or is a copper finish. Why I think it has ben sprayed is that the yellow label is upside down. The mouthpiece is a "Dacor" and look to have been an original modification, the actual yoke screw has a hexagonal head. Any information would be appreciated. Warren (Melbourne - Australia)

I had some old regs that had a rough treatment being cleaned, and the finish went below the matte chrome, revealing the copperish color, also on the label? I think all the DA's bith approved, and non approved all had that finish. I did see one with a bright chrome set of cans on it, and it immediatly struck me, as an exhibition piece, or someones home made handywork. I have seen some overpressure regs chromed. One matte too. Has anyone ever seen an ORIGINAL BROXTON label with a chromed body? Remember the french aquamasters back in 1960 or so had the chromed case, and looked like a freak, until USD made them all that way a couple years later.
