No, not the 45-ACP, but the cheap-icky-beer that they still make. Every time I see this old advert, I think, "Okay, this time I'll ID those regulators..." NOPE, I just can't do it, so are those Healthways?
Too small and blurry: just curious as to whether or not someone else could ID them.

This is actually a take-off on a TV series. Originally I thought it was "Assignment Underwater," but that wasn't the one I was thinking of. But I found "Assignment Underwater" on You Tube: Then I thought maybe it was "Malibu Run." I looked it up and found "The Aquanauts" under "Malibu Run TV Series." This is the one that this ad was built around. By the way, did you notice that one of the divers lost his mask on the run up the beach in this ad? There is a reason for not putting the mask on the forehead. John

"Schweinhund, ve haff vays uf makink you talk..." You can ALWAYS tell just how EVIL a person is by the way they hold their cigarette: gosh and jeepers, that guy on the "Aquanauts" must be completely wicked! We've been watching "A Date with the Angels" with Betty White (ARRRRROOOOGA--hubba-hubba! ) and Bill Williams from 1957. While watching it I kept thinking, why does he look so familiar: 'cause he was on "Assignment Underwater"... Okay smarty-pants John: what kinda regs do they use on the "Aquanauts"? It was too degrades for me to actually see in the scene in the beginning, but it kinda looked like a Sportsways: it had a big stud sticking out on the purge button. Also, the actor doing the voice-over in the beginning has a really nice speaking voice, nice rich baritone, that reminded me of Rod Serling's work on "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau". Oh, and the actor playing the good-guy Captain is the same guy who played Uncle Jesse on the "Dukes of Hazzard", Denver Pyle. Jaybird

Nike, Yes, they used Sportsways regs. Aquanauts was probably the first scuba show where the good guys used single hose regulators. My favorite line from the show - and I still remember it after 40 years - the heroes are on a Navy or Coast Guard ship/boat headed out to sea, the officer in charge turns to the helmsman and asks, "What's out here?". The helmsman, without batting an eye says, "Japan, Sir. But I don't think we'll make it in this". Not sure why it struck me so funny then, but after my years in the military, it's a pretty typical response from an enlisted man to an officer.

Fact that was shot in color puts it probably after 1965 when Networks went to color broadcasting Also that divers using single hose regulators (which were not common in 1960) puts in range of late 1960's
Gues would be 1967 - 1968 time frame.....
