The Conshelf was locked in a competition with the MR-12 for military purchases. That is the reason for the number of changes. I have one of those too, with the larger exhaust, and also later USD second stages with the air bubble below. Both are great regulators.

But John, its the Calypso with the larger exhaust port! I too thought I was crazy but it matches the larger tee. Hoodathunk?

"Air bubble?" Hmmmm, I wondering if this is a Calypso-II.V (2.5 ): is this the same size mushroom as a C-III? Jaybird

These US Divers Calypso and Conshelf Single Hose Regulators are really starting to get me interested in having one some day in the near future. How old are these?, 1960s and 1970s would be my guess? Mark

Having fun and going through my old posts from when I got to this forum. Since I posted in this topic, I actually have a US Divers Conshelf XI now. I think mine is from circa 1970-1971?, then the XII version came out in 1972-ish? It is great that I have the XI, because I was born in 1970.
I'd love to find a Conshelf VI someday, just for the fact that I love the look of the 1965-1969 era US Divers Second Stages. But I do have a Calypso-J from that era, so this is not a big deal.
I do love diving both my Conshelf and Calypso-J, but the Conshelf XI is my "go to" normal reg. if I am diving with "modern" divers. I have it set up that I can throw a 3-way splitter on a LP port and have it configured like a modern set up, but most time I just dive it with one 2nd stage and a SPG and that is it. Mark

Greetings, I know this is an old post so hopefully it is still active. I have 2 of the Conshelf that have exhaust T's that screw on like the center pic previously posted by diverdon. Is there any way to get replacements? Both mine are very poor condition and I would love to rebuild them. Thanks

Boxy, those things can be pretty hard come by: try eBait or do a search for a the oldest dive shop in your area...
