OK the post on the old Calypso being restored jarred some old memories as well as an awareness that I lost out on some new bits. I do remember the news when Couseau died, and I kinda recall that his one surviving son was "kinda" carrying the torch. I take it that when the old BULL died, the driving force went with him? I dunno why, but I kinda thought that the calypso was still plying the waves even if not as often. What of the sub? the sucoupe?.. Seemed sad to see the Calypso stripped and left to rot. Bits hacked of and sold for scrap.

Hi
The last time I saw all the equipment aboard Calypso, it was on display in Montreal Canada as the Cousteau society layed out a great event on the history of Capt Cousteau, they had all the very, very early coousteau equipment and some of the newer gear on display, and out side the Alcyon was at dock for every one to board. I am sure that the old gear has been stored away for future exhibits.

I kinda wonder more about what happened with the people. And what of the son, Jean Micheal?.. Last I remember he was doing some thing in the Bahama'a.. Some kind of pay to dive with me thing.
