Got all the parts (hopefully) to get it ready to dive. Had new gaskets made for it. Got a second stage I fixed up for an octo for it last night (Sherwood 4000). Got a parts list; but, no service manual. Question: Does anyone know the IP setting? Many regs are 135 psi ... If anyone knows let me know ... I got to go do laundry and get Andrews HP steel tank filled .... Only one place to fill it that can do a fill to 3440 psi .... DAV meeting is tomorrow (I'm the adjutant and haven't begun to type the minutes ....) so, another busy day for me! Checking this out: www.ebay.com/itm/US-Divers-Aqua-Lung-DA-Aqua-Master-Vintage-Scuba-Diving-Double-Hose-Regulator-/261521664584?_trksid=p2054897.l5662 Blue label, Pico Blvd., non--chrome cans ... was thinking, I'll (hopefully) be needing a new project soon ... I still have a Calypso J to overhaul (it's cool, if I rent a tank without a J valve, I'll still have a reserve .... does it sound like I sometimes don't keep an eye on my spg ? )

Once you get it together, I would recommend playing with the IP a bit. Since they're unbalanced, I'd suggest a nearly empty tank( < 500 psi). I have founbd that my Hydro Twins like a slightly higher IP. Around 150 or so. It seemed too high when I was first playing with the NED, but the second reg proved to like the same higher IP. Even my balanced Hydro Twin II is set at around 145 or so.... I wonder if it's becuase of the longer intermediate air passages..... But I do not know.

I'm thinking what I have is balanced. I will have to check it out. There are/were two different HP seats used and I think the one mine uses is for the balanced one ...

Robert, I'm pretty sure yours is a balanced first stage too. My Hydro-Twin is also balanced.

Mine is balanced .... sorta was hoping it wasn't. The Hydrotwin is unbalanced; Hydrotwin II balanced. I've been told the unbalanced Hydrotwin was only manufactured for a couple of years and are more rare than the Hydrotwin II's ...
