I should add a little about myself since I just hit you with a bunch of regulators I was hoping you could appraise. I started diving in 1962 and stopped around 2003. Getting a little old and rickety I guess. Did a lot of diving off Long Island NY and New jersey. wrote a book on one of the big wrecks off of Long Island called (of all things) the OREGON, She was a guion/cunard liner that held the blue ribband for speed across the atlantic. Lies in 130' sw and full of artifacts many of which grace my house or gather dust in my attic. Funny thing is --when I got to your website --a lot of the gear you are calling vintage is what I dove with. My mainstays were Poseidons and MR 12s. At the time --the best single hoses available. I have lots of stories and possibly could answer some questions on the old days. In any case --love your website and hope I can be of help.

Welcome Olwalrus! Did you by chance tote along a camera on any of those dives? Pictures are greatly appreciated and any that were published in your book would be more than welcome.

Olwalrus, Welcome here, and your work on the Oregon wreck would be very interesting to me, being from Oregon. I looked it up, and found that there is a ship called the Oregon II, which is now run by NOAA. Then I looked for "Oregon Wreck," and found a number of links including this one from the New Jersey Scuba club: njscuba.net/sites/site_oregon.htmlWe will have some very interesting conversations.
