That does like like a good deal! It's the whole first season of "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau"! I did some more searching around on EBay and found a cheaper version that is similar in the packaging. It also includes several more episodes and Cousteau's first major film: "The Silent World". More than 10 available is what it also says! The shipping is pretty cheap too.

Um, if'n ya got Netflix, you can rent the Cousteau Odyssey... You can also rent the UWOJC, BUT... they had, gulp, Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins and Joseph Campanella narrate it them As much as I like the old show, I refuse to watch it without the Rod Serling narration, absolutely uh-uh, won't do it

I have to agree, that the UWOJC isn't the same without Rod Serling. Even when the Odyssey (1976-1982) was on, it still wasn't the same with Theodore Strauss narrating it. I can't believe that they didn't leave the series with the original narration. I also really enjoy listening to the theme song of UWOJC and the music that played along with the series.

My wife and I watched it after 40+ years about two years ago, and when I heard that song, it hit me like a ton of bricks. We decided that if we ever have two pets at the same time, one will be Falco, and the other Fowler, as in Jim Fowler:



Do you remember Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? Old Marlin Perkins would be sitting on the sidelines while, "Jim" got the snot knocked out of him by any number of ferocious critters...

I remember seeing a newer episode of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. It was interesting and showed many different aspects of the natural environment. In one scene, it would be under the ocean, and in the next it would be in a rain forest. They just don't make T.V programs like they used too!  

I'll have to check Netflix if they have some more episodes of MOWK (or I'll check YouTube)

I found an interesting find! It is Jacques Cousteau's "World Without Sun" film, but in original 8mm sound and film. This deal also
includes an older movie "The Whale that became a Star". A bit pricy for me, but nonetheless an interesting find.

That is a funny sketch! I will always remember John Candy in the war comedy Stripes. Funny movie! Plan to watch an episode of UWOJC later.

Watched "Savage World of the Coral Jungle" episode of UWOJC. Amazing to see how aquatic life has changed so much do to pollution and destruction, both caused by the human species. It was neat to see the Yellow and Black Galeazzi recompression chamber. It was tiny. And 3 of the divers had to fit in it! 
If if anybody was wondering, I found a near complete list of episodes for UWOJC that also has the dates when they aired.

The episode of The Undersea World of Jacques Costeau known as "Octopus, Octopus" has a woman in a blue wet-suit jacket.

I'll watch that episode again and see who she is. I think she is one of the scientists that two of the Calypso Divers meet on the west coast. Speaking of that episode, it remains one of my favourites as it was the 2 episode that I saw.
