One of my favorite movies of all time is the 1983 Btitish comedy-drama Local Hero. It has no diving scenes but has the lovely actress Jenny Seagrove walking across a Scottish beach in a near vintage scuba kit. Music is by Mark Knopfler and has a young Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) in it. Worth checking out.

Funny, "Local Hero" and "Restless Natives" are somehow linked in my mind, okay, perhaps it's Scotland... and two years apart, it has music by Big Country! JB

Lancaster is great in this movie. Always have been fascinated with Scotland. Wonder what the diving is like there.

I hear that is not uncommon to see certain species of sharks such as basking sharks and blue whalers (blue sharks).
