Last night we watched, "The Day of the Dolphin"--WOW! BTW I did see where you can watch it on Youtube... Warning, this IS NOT an action adventure film as portrayed in one of the movie posters, but actually quite thought provoking and very well acted. George C. Scott has that acting style, way more natural than most, that you kinda feel like you're in the same room with him: watch his body language, and the way he moves his eyes and facial expressions. Most actors act like they're being filmed, somewhat stagy, like a soap opera, but certain actors, like Scott, have an intimate way of using their body, like say, when you're with a friend you're talking to: people in real life do things like slur words, contract certain parts of words, or speak while they are exhaling... Lots of nice close ups of USD gear too! JB The film is more like this (Don't get me wrong, there are some super intense scenes!): and NOT like this:

Mark, yes you are correct, '73! John, no, we don't have our TV hooked to anything but a DVD-player and a Roku: although I did see something on Yahoo about sharks gliding while diving, and their being in a trance like state while in the process thereof... It reminded me of what elephant seals do while diving: they too will enter a state where most of their body shuts down except for a few functions. They will dive super deep, I believe something like 2500 feet!!!!!!, and when they hit bottom they wake up and feed. I also seem to recall they can stay submerged for several hours like this because their hemoglobin can hold infinitely more oxygen than ours... JB

JB did you watch it on Youtube? Or if on the Roku, where did you find it? Would love to see it. I agree about George C. Scott's acting in general... You forget you are watching a "movie", and start to feel like you are a fly on the wall in someone's real life.
