Several years ago the Sitka group started hosting a few divers we met on NWdiveclub and they come up every spring for a week or so of diving and tall tales.
This last spring my friend Chris stayed with me and I was able to take the entire week off and just dive. As a result, he ended up with 70 gigs of video!
He is finally getting around to editing everything and here is his first completed video. There will be more to come.
I hope you don't mind my posting in the media section, if you need me to move I can. Dave Sulser and Chris are diving single hose, modern gear and I'm diving a modern Kraken in this video.
Hope you enjoy.

Great video SitkaDiver. It looks like you have a nice wreck to dive on right from the harbor docks! Your Kraken looks impressive, too. Thanks for posting this.

I agree. Very nice. Do you recall the camera he used? I hope you're able to post more soon.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the film. Now I miss living in Alaska... The one time I was in the water there was against my better judgment during Herring Season 99 in Bristol Bay... I always wanted to know what was under the waves there though. Maybe one day when I get a drysuit I can check out Kachemak Bay? Mark

Dave, no one had better dare to (expletive deleted) about this post: it's a post fer cryin' out loud, and we have a real deficit of postings... I have a lot of ideas I want to use for filming when we get back into the water: kinda frustrating watching other people do it JB

Very nice. What was the water temperature? John As you already know, the Pacific Northwest is experience a large El Nino and as a result, our water tempterature last winter never got below 45. I want to say, that it's been a few years since we had a harbor freeze-up also, so it's a multi-year trend. Now, becuas it's summer, the water is even more toasty warm. The surface is in the upper 50's. I can dive without gloves, but choose to do so as a defense against cuts and scrapes.
