The one I got a few weeks ago is identical including having a clamp ring, although cosmetically definately in better shape. I made a final bid of $370 a few hours before it ended and went to bed pretty sure I wasn't gonna win. Got it for $355.

That is why I think this one my go higher. I was very lucky, I got one 2 months ago for $270, clamp ring, 3500psi yoke, the photos were bad and did not show the yoke. I emailed the seller and he sent me photos of the yoke, so I knew what I was getting. When it arrived, it lookes WAY better than the photos! Had a minor hp leak that was quickly resolve with a wrech. Turned around and sold my older round lable for the same price. ;D

I believe all Royal Aqua-Masters have long yokes. I believe they changed sometime during the Royal Master years. I have had a few of those with both yoke types.
Bear in mind that if you purchase a very late model Royal Aqua-Master with the high pressure Conshelf type yoke on it , you can have a struggle using a banjo fitting. The Conshelf yoke is somewhere between the short and long yoke as far as how deep the yoke opening is. On the thicker late model valves its a bit of a challenge to get the banjo fitting to work with the Conshelf type yoke.

Not doubting you, but this RAM SN 4519 Dan has for sale looks like a short yoke with the angular sides to me, so does this one on eBay

Yea, a yoke could never be swapped out from one regulator to the other...... In any case, I changed my statement to....... I believe all Royal Aqua-Masters came with long yokes......I could be wrong of course.

My square label Royal had a short yoke. I think I sent it toyou Bryan along with a long yoke for you to install during the rebuild which you did. I love it. It and several other older square label Royals also had the crown decal from the factory it definitly appears. The reason the Royals will ultimately reach the highest prices --of commonly available double hosers--is they parts supply and commonality with the Conshelf and their superior performance. Not about to part with my beautiful DA or mint Mistral but if forced I would have to keep the Royals and part company with my others. James
