The Mistral I just restored that I got off of ebay a few months ago also has a West Pico address and the serial number is 115754. During the purchase of this reg I had several emails with the seller and found out that this reg belonged to his father and that the last time this reg saw any water was around 1965. The seller also stated that to his knowledge the reg was in "original condition" as had been purchased by his father. This reg also had yellow hoses which were definitely the originals (dryrotted); but have been replaced with the brand new pair of yellow repros that Stu had available a couple of years ago. This reg also had the black mouthpiece and black plastic hose clamps. Other than the hoses everything else was in great shape with this reg. By the way guys; this is the reg that some of you gave me some pointers on a few weeks ago, and I had a chance to wet test it in our pool yeterday. She breathes GREAT! ;D ;D Thanks for your help. I found it pretty exciting yeterday when I tested this reg knowing that it hasn't been wet in 40 years, and a great deal of pride in restoring this fantastic piece of dive equipment history. I'm hoping to get it out very soon on an actual dive. Terry Stevens

Gentlemen,Last year I aquired a nice rebuilt Mistral that works great. I also picked up a long yoke and banjo fitting from fellow members. When I tried to put it all together, it was a double no go. The hole in the yoke was slightly smaller than the protrusion on the reg and the banjo threads didn't match up to an older scubapro gauge! I can tell from the chat here that alot of folks are enjoying these banjo- pressure gauge combos. What's up?

Jon, The DAAM yoke and the USD supplied coversion yokes for DAAMs and RAMs will not fit the Mistral. Whoever sold it to you should have told you, if you asked. You could pick up a later model West Warner Avenue Mistral with a long yoke already factory installed. As for the banjo bolt, you didn't mention who's model it was. It is not your gauge which doesn't fit; it is the hose. All of the banjo bolts of which I am aware have 3/8-24 threads for the earlier high pressure hoses (should be the same as modern low pressure second stage or inflator hose fittings). I would bet the hose you have has a 7/16-20 threaded fitting. If so, you can pick up an adapter from Dan right here at Vintage SCUBA Supply, www.vintagescubasupply.com/hoses.htmlitem #RHAD toward the bottom of the page. Hope that helps.

Get you a long yoke off an early conshelf single hoser. They are a dime a dozen on ebay. I have one, number 16925 on my pico mistral I rebuilt and use with one of my banjos. Works perfect. dan has the hose adaptors you will need. These conshelf yokes are CHROMED, and look way better than the dull looking warner yokes.
