Just hypothesizing and think out loud, what would happen if the volcano orifice piece in your Spiro Mistral/Royal Mistral was stuck due to the gluey o ring and age. It's a separate piece and gets replaced in the parts kit, but how would you get the old one out. I was thinking a screw from the yoke side, but is there a way to push it from the pin side.
It's kinda similar to a piece in the healthways scuba, but I forget the name of it.

So, there's a couple things to say about this. There are two things in regulators called seats. The part that should be called the seat is the volcano orifice. The other part is the plunger (SW, HW) or soft seat. Much confusion arises when either of these things are just called seats. I support the suggestion of someone, somewhere, who suggested we call the two parts the hard seat and the soft seat. The difference should be obvious to all.
On the HW valve, I use a wooden dowel to push, or if it's really stuck, tap the hard seat out. You can bang on it pretty good, as long as the punch is (much) softer than the hard seat (like wood). Reinstalling should only require pushing it back in with a dowel by hand, not tapping.
Is the Spiro Mistral hard seat removable? I don't remember. The USD Mistral seat is not. The DAAM is not. RAM? Not, I think. The Scuba line and Sportsways DHers hard seats are. Dacor DH regs, not. Snark IIIs are not. DivAir, not. Titan II and Trieste, not. I can't think of any others, off-hand.

It is removable the last time I checked, the hard seat and O ring. I think that was one of the advantages to the Spiro Mistral. I'll check tomorrow!

Rather than a wooden down, think about using a brand new unsharpened pencil if it will fit, and use the erasure end to contact the volcano orifice Hard seat. Use a wooden mallet if needed to tap it out.

Wooden dowel/Rod that was 1/8 inch diameter pushed into the tube works! The o ring looked a bit raty and the seat needs some cleaning. I'll try cleaning both the hard seat and soft seat and see what comes of it.
