Hi all,
just found this message board , and i am enjoying reading it. I live in the netherlands , and i've used double hose regulators for the last 20 years, the first was given to me as a kid, and i got used to it I actually never owned a so called modern one, but did my training with modern equipment. nice to see enthousiasts who keep maintaining these regulators in the US.
in the netherlands i dont think anybody actually still uses them, most get snapped up by collectors. i've got two spirotechnique royal mistral, and two draeger Duomats, but i think i will have to buy something else soon. on both the royal Mistral and the duomats the diaphragms and the duckbill are getting too old, and finding parts for these has proved impossible so far.
I contacted spirotechnique and draeger, both are not interested in selling parts for these regulators. when contacting draeger i was told they still had the parts, but preferred not to sell them! that didnt help. apparently i am supposed to buy a modern regulator.
i am now considering a Medi east german regulator, i still see lost of parts for them offered on ebay, that should keep me diving for a couple of years.
of course if somebody has a lead on draeger or spiro parts i would be more than happy.....
cheers, Hubert
PS lousy weather over here, no diving for the time being...

Hi
Don't be surprised if you get the door shut in your face, plenty of companies don't sell stock to the general public and if those parts your after are no longer being produced for them they probably need what they have for there own supply and demand. keep your eye open on Ebay and cruise the net I'm sure eventually you will find what you need.
