Some of us are not really collectors. I don't think of myself collecting. I dive them, not collect them so I only have four very clean units. I may add another or sell one. Four regulators are hard to maintain. I really only need two. James

Aloha All I vote for Sea Hunt Jerry, I think he has over 400 regs in his collection. I am only pushing the 200 mark. But I think that Kgehring must be coming up fast. My problem is I dive almost 7 days a week, but they make me use modern gear. Aloha Turtleguy9 Roger

A lot of my stuff is vintage because I never got rid of it. I keep them diveable and dive them when I can. Just 4 2-hosers, Mistral, square label Da, round label DA, round label Royal. Would love to have a Treiste and eventually a square label Royal. 14 single hose regs going back to 1963, all but 5 are pre-1980

Ron Benson at Going Under Dive Center in MN has 100s of double hose regulators. Sea Hunt Jerry doesn't know what he has, and yes he is single. I have only 15, but mine are in working condition.

I don't think Ron has than many, but he did walk away with some nice stuff from Jack the Frogman's scuba shop cleanup.

I currently only have 3. However, I do plan on upping that count to 5 before the end of this year.

I currently have four, two Aqua Masters, a Mistral and the rare ex-Navy half Aqua Master half DA Navy that I recently bought but haven't overhauled yet. I am keeping an eye out for a Royal but I am like Nemrod, a user not a collector

I don't have enough money to be anything other than a user.

I am also a user, not an active collector. My "collection" consists of regulators I've accumulated and used over the years:
1 Trieste II 1 Sportsways Hydro-Twin (bought out of someone's garage for $25 about twenty years ago) 1 DA Aquamaster 2 Mistrals 1 DX, the first single stage regulator by USD 1 Nemrod Snark III 1 DA Aqualung
In addition, I have the innerds of a Voit 50 Fathom, which I've put into a Mistral housing.
So if I add this up, it's 8 double hose regulators. I actively dive 6 of those.
In addition, I enjoy diving a US Divers UDS-1 diving system. It is a triple tank system with the regulator first stage incorporated into the triple manifold, which is mounted upside down (below the cylinders on the back). I have it equiped with a Scubapro A.I.R. I regulator second stage, and have two LP hoses going to the second stage (so you see, it is a "double hose" too;)). The octopus is a Dacor Pacer. This is perhaps the best breathing system ever devised!
But I guess this doesn't qualify me for the award of the largest collection.

I am also a user. I can’t afford a real collection either. I have a round label Royal Aqua-Master; the one in my avatar, the picture is from the early 70’s. I converted it to an Aqua-Master in the early 70’s because the old hp (hard rubber) seats tended to leak to easily. I changed back the hp nozzle and used new Conshelf seat, crown etc. to convert it back to a proud and easy breathing Royal! I also have a square label Royal that a bought at a reasonable price recently on eBay. The pictures on eBay made it look bad (heck, it looked bad when I first saw it). After cleaning, polishing and overhauling it, it is one of the nicest square labels RAM I have seen. Even the original hoses cleaned great (after 6 or 7 scrubbings) and are in great shape. It is my easiest breathing regulator. ;D I have a square label Warner Ave. DA Aqua-Master that I got from Dan. This is also a good, easy breathing unit. Part of that acquisition involved trading a 1960’s Poseidon Cyklon. The first stage in that Cyklon has one LP port, no HP or extra LP ports. A friend just gave me his old Pico Blvd. DA Aqua-Master. I just started cleaning it. It needs a lot of TLC, but if I am lucky again it may clean into a nice unit. In any case I can’t wait to dive a 1950’s Aqua Master!

Just put 2 more 2 hosers back in usable condition! Just got back from Blue Springs in Indiana and Robo did the first dive with the Broxton and I used the 1956 DA Navy.(Both just tuned by Broxton Chuck) Dive 2 Robo used his Royal and I used the Broxton. They worked great. The Navy seemed harder than the Broxton to breathe. All in all, agreat day of vintage diving!
