Well... here's something pleasant in response to the absolute mindless stupidity of 1/6/2021: JB If you had someone rubbing your ampullae of Lorenzini you would come back for more too.

Is it just me, or are the sharks rolling their eyes? 😬

Is it just me, or are the sharks rolling their eyes? 😬 Linda and JB, That's an automatic response whenever anything is sensed near the shark's eyes. It is a protective membrane which covers the eye and protects it form anything nearby. John

John, I think most vertebrate predators, with I think the exception of hominids, have that too: I know cat and raptors for sure have them JB

Yes, I didn’t think the sharks were really capable of cynicism or sarcasm. Just my twisted sense of humor. ☺️

My original “joke” (not so funny, now, ha haa) mentioned eye rolling, though, which has a different association.

Well, my gills are drying out, and the pools are not open. Oh well, Chris and I have done a lot, and I do mean a lot, of walking on the trails near our house. And today, with Chris working, I was on my bicycle for a 10.6 mile ride on the trails. I don't ride the roads on Fridays, as I've been in the hospital twice after being hit by cars while riding my bicycle on a Friday. I simply don't give them the chance on a Friday.
But my ride today was fun, and included a hill to climb at greater than 8% steepness too. I had my camera with me, but didn't see anything I wanted to take a photo of. I did go through a park with soccor fields, and there was an ol' timer's soccor game going on; 'saw one goal scored.
Life goes on, and it's important that we continue to take the measures to keep us healthy and away from the COVID-19 virus. That means keeping our distance, wearing masks when near people, washing hands, and isolating as much as possible until the vaccinations can happen.
On vaccinations, it looks like it'll be a bit longer that we need to take precautions. I'm lucky, in that my wife, Chris is a part-time hospital pharmacist, and so she have just Tuesday received her second COVID-19 vaccination. In another week she should be about 95% immune to this awful virus. She experienced a bit more arm pain from the second dose, but that apparently is expected. Other than that, not much in the way of effects from the vaccination.
I'm hoping that we can get back to more-or-less normal by this summer. But right now, it is no time to let down our guard--this is the worst of the COVID-19 disease right now, and for the coming months until vaccinations can mute this virus.

John John, even more deadly than this virus is the wanton dissemination of misinformation: there's no reason why it should have even gotten as bad as it has, but people will fight tooth and nail for "their right to be ignorant" JB
